POLICE investigating the abduction of a Preston jeweller have appealed for help from other traders.
Pratim Soni, 31, was bound, gagged and forced into the boot of his car by a gang of men. He was then driven to Blackburn and told to get out of the car in an alleyway, between Lambeth Street and Lincoln Road, which runs parallel to Queen's Road, Audley Range.
The gang, who police believe are Asian and from Blackburn, stole £80,000 worth of jewellery from his shop P and H Jewellers store in New Lane, Preston, on Boxing Day.
DS John Crichton, who is investigating the incident, has appealed for other jewellers to contact him if they are offered any jewellery under suspicious circumstances.
