A CAR careered into a garden wall after mounting a pavement.
A 10ft section of the one-metre high wall was flattened after the Honda Civic ploughed into it outside a house in Rhewlas Drive, Bury, at 1am on Sunday.
Firefighters found the car damaged and abandoned at the scene. Several men were seen running away from the vehicle seconds after the accident.
Bury Station Officer Paul Myerscough said: "It's amazing that no-one was seriously injured after what happened".
It is not known whether the car was stolen.
