ONCE again the hang 'em high brigade let their voices be heard after the tragic death of PC Ian Broadhurst in Leeds. What I cannot understand is why they only want the death penalty for police killers.
All human life is sacred and, in essence, they place an occupation above human life. It would go along the lines of, if you are a policeman and are murdered, your killer is killed. But if you happen to be two totally innocent little girls your killer gets life imprisonment, with all its comforts.
The death penalty should be for all takers of human life. I myself would welcome it. I have no relatives in the police force but I do have four young children and believe, like many parents, if a child's life or adult's life is taken, the killer must die.
Please note, this is not an anti-police letter but an anti-bring back the death penalty just for the killers of police letter.
The killer of PC Ian Broadhurst must die but then, so should every other killer of human life.
