POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a missing mother and son who may be in the Burnley area.
Charlene Rosie, 19, and her son Jordan, three, were last seen in Edinburgh on December 29 when she said they were going shopping.
But police in the Scottish capital believe they are in the Burnley area where they have relatives.
Charlene is 5ft 5ins, of medium build with long, straight, dark hair and pierced ears. She was last wearing a black long-sleeved top, trousers, long black hooded jacket with grey fur around the hood and blue and white trainers.
Jordan has short fair hair, a fair complexion and was last wearing navy jogging bottoms, navy hooded top, navy and cream jacket and black and white Puma trainers.
A police spokesman said: "We believe they are in the Burnley area as Charlene has relatives there.
"Their family in Edinburgh are keen to hear from them to make sure they are well. We would appeal to anyone who may recognise their description to contact their local police station."
