THE Parish Council has received notification from a developer with an interest in the Lennox Street area of the village that he wished to object to the Borough Council's Local Plan.

The Borough's Plan proposes to keep all development inside the existing urban boundary. The Government's current policy allows development on brownfield sites and protects the greenfields.

The Parish Council next meets on Tuesday, January 13, at 7.30pm. Allotment rents will be collected from 7pm in the Reading Rooms.

WORSTHORNE Brownies are off to the panto on January 11 and will recommence their weekly Brownie activities on January 14.

THE Sustainability Action Partnership have organised a number of activities over the winter months and residents would be made very welcome.
