RESPONSE to Barnoldswick's new mobile library service has been good, librarian Linda Medley said today, The service is being run with the help of the WRVS.
To join the scheme, which is particularly aimed at people who have problems getting out to their local library, new members are asked to fill in a form with their name and address.
Linda then visits the individual to talk to them about their likes and dislikes so that she can advise on the best choice of books.
The service also lends CDs, videos and jigsaws to members.
Linda said: "The response so far has been really good, largely because people had never had such a service before.
"I am sure there must be lots of other people out there who would like to join the scheme and we would welcome more customers."
