GAME fowl expert George Meekin came out top yet again at the nation's oldest poultry show.
Twenty-two years after his entry first won the cock class at the Holcombe Old English Game Fowl Club, George's duck wing earned him the Best in Show award at the New Year's Day Show at the Old Dun Horse in Ramsbottom.
For nine years running until 2001, Astley man George's birds earned him the top award in the cock class.
At this year's 161st annual event he also judged some of the classes and is pictured in judging mode with a ginger which was placed runner-up in the hen class.
Entries included birds from Wales, Durham and Cumberland but numbers were affected by snow in some regions.
