selfish people
really be?
I CAN'T believe the stupidity of some selfish people.
A woman phoned 999 over the holidays because she was lonely and needed a hug from Paramedics. Other time wasters to the life saving emergency service came from a divvy with a broken finger nail and another with a spot on the end of her finger.
To even matters up a man scared of thunder refused to get off the line until the storm had passed.
How can anyone in their right mind believe these are anything but trivial matters? The culprits should be charged for the cost of time lost, then they would think twice about their silly actions.
The NHS Direct Help Line and walk in centres at local hospitals are there to help with ailments and minor injuries.
The Paramedics' service is appealing to people to think before dialling 999 -- some really sick person could lose their life because of such idiocy.
