HINDSFORD FC had a comfortable 6-2 win at home against Stand Athletic on Saturday.
Hindsford forced a corner in the first minute and from the clearance Darren Brigg's well flighted cross was headed home by Simon Hampson. Hindsford were well on top and when Darren Seymour broke up a Stand attack he found Mark Morris whose clever ball put Matt Toone clear for him to lift the ball over the advancing keeper. Mark Morris made it three when he ran onto a long clearance from Barry Edge to shoot low past the keeper.
Stand got back in the game when they intercepted a pass out of defence for Tony Kean to make it 3-1 at half time.
Hindsford soon restored the lead at the start of the second half with Matt Toone beating the offside trap to drive a low shot past the keeper and Mark Morris made it five with a superb volley from outside the box following some good passing.
Matt Toone got his hat trick when his glancing header from Mark Osmond's cross made it six. Stand got a consolation goal from Lee Hall just before the final whistle as Hindsford pushed forward.
The reserves had an excellent 6-1 win away at Stand to put them into fourth place.
