EAST Lancashire students are getting behind a virtual steering wheel to experience driving.
The BSM driving school simulator, based on a Vauxhall Corsa, is touring the county later this month.
The special piece of kit will give students, many under 17 years old, the chance to get familiar with a car's controls and develop basic skills in steering, clutch control and gears.
The roadshow will also let students practise a series of computerised driving theory test questions.
Andy Brown, BSM roadshow manager, said: "Learning to drive is a number-one priority for most young people.
"The roadshow gives students the chance to drive a car in a safe and controlled environment and to have some fun at the same time."
Schools taking part include Rhyddings High School, Oswaldtwistle, on Thursday, January 15, and Pleckgate High School, Blackburn, on Friday, January 16.
