GILBERT & Sullivan comes to Lytham this month with a production of Iolanthe at Lowther Pavilion.
Preston Gilbert & Sullivan Society's staging of the classic Gilbertian tale of fairies mixing with mortals is at Lytham's Lowther Pavilion January 22-24, following a short run at Preston Playhouse.
"The music is some of Sullivan's finest and has grand opera feel to it," said show spokesman, Irvine Bell.
"The scene where the fairy Iolanthe reveals her identity to her husband, the Lord Chancellor who believes her long dead, knowing that doing so will bring her own death, is spine tingling. Being a Gilbert libretto, of course, there are happy endings all round," he added.
Tickets priced £7 (£5 concessions) are available from the Pavilion Caf at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham Information Centre or St Annes Information Centre.
