FORWARD-looking Bury companies are being urged to make a special new year resolution with a commitment to recruiting a diverse workforce.
They are being invited to attend the latest Embracing Diversity Employer Forum meeting to be held at Europa House, Barcroft Street, Bury, on Wednesday, January 14.
Bury Employment Support and Training (Bury EST) is staging the forum which will begin at 9am and last up to two hours.
The meeting will discuss the subject of disability and the speaker will be Michelle Valentine, practice development officer with the Manchester office of the Disability Rights Commission. She will brief employers on how they can meet their duties under the Disability Discrimination Act and on the changes that will affect small businesses from October 2004.
