A DIRECTOR of a Darwen construction business which failed with total debts estimated at about £117,000 has agreed not to hold directorships for two-and-a-half years.
Niall Peter Murphy, 30, was a director of Reinforced Concrete Design Limited, Whitehall Street, when he amassed the debt.
Mr Murphy, of Viscount Avenue, Lower Darwen, accepted the Insolvency Service undertaking on December 17 last year.
It prevents him from being a director of a company or, in any way, whether directly or indirectly, being concerned or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company for the above period.
The company was placed into compulsory liquidation in June 2002 with estimated debts of £117,000 owed to creditors.
Mr Murphy admitted to unfit conduct that included allowing the company to make transactions to the detriment of creditors after the company had stopped trading.
