Clarets stalwart Paul Weller believes he is close to regaining his best form in a Burnley shirt.
The long-serving midfielder has started the last five games after battling back from a calf injury that sidelined him for a month late last year.
Weller was one of the shining stars as Stan Ternent's men overcame Mansfield in last weekend's comprehensive FA Cup third round victory.
And with a run of successive appearances under his belt for the first time since October, Weller feels he is gaining confidence with every passing game.
The 28-year-old, said: "I am reasonably pleased with my performances at the moment.
"It's a bit strange being back out on the wing, and I still don't feel that confident on the ball at the moment, but with every game that goes by you get more and more confident and hopefully today, if selected, I can put in another decent performance at Crystal Palace."
Weller, who overcame a serious illness earlier in his career, was recently granted a testimonial by the club following 12 years sterling service.
The Brighton-born midfield ace has made well over 250 appearances for the only club he has served since signing as a trainee in the early 1990s.
A committee is still in the process of being set up to organise a series of fund-raisers that will hopefully culminate in a game in his honour at Turf Moor next summer against, as yet, unconfirmed opposition.
But with the Clarets current predicament close to the foot of Division One higher on his list of priorities, Weller has typically put the club's interests before his own.
He explained: "Nothing has happened on the testimonial front yet. I haven't spoken to the gaffer about it over the past few week because all the focus has been on concentrating on getting through the FA Cup and winning a few more games in the league.
"Maybe after this weekend I can talk to him about it, but at the moment there are more important things to worry about."
