Dimi's delighted
NEWS reaches me that former Burnley striker Dimi Papadopoulos is loving life back in Greece.
The Panathinaikos striker, who featured in the Champions League earlier this season following his transfer 'home' last summer, has just returned from a leg injury that sidelined him for a month.
However, the enforced absence failed to dislodge him from the top of the club's goalscoring charts.
Dimi currently has eight goals in the Greek championship so far.
Junior deal proves popular
JUNIOR Burnley fans who still haven't taken advantage of the 'Not Just The Ticket' offer from Turf Moor are advised to move quickly, with nearly 500 of the packages already snapped up.
The offer will be open until kick-off at the game with West Bromwich Albion next Saturday, but to take full advantage of the package it is best to move early, with limited stocks of the replica shirt included in the deal remaining.
The deal offers young fans the chance to save a substantial amount of money. For only £30, they will be able to attend one of the Community Programme's holiday courses, whether this is in football or dance. They will also receive this season's replica Burnley shirt, either home or away, and to complement that, a Uhlsport training football.
Finally, the tempting package includes match tickets for the games at Turf Moor against WBA (January 17), Gillingham (February 7) and Ipswich Town (February 21).
Anyone interested in the offer can call the Community Programme on 0870 443 1882 (option 4) or call into the Turf Moor Leisure Centre reception.
Eye-opener for Glen
GLEN Little got a taste of life as a sports journalist last weekend - and thanked his lucky stars he became a footballer!
The Clarets winger, currently sidelined with hamstring trouble, couldn't find room on a crowded Burnley bench at Mansfield.
Salvation lay in the archaic, crumbling press box situated right behind the benches.
And on the half hour, just after Jay McEveley had crossed for Ian Moore to give us the lead, one Mansfield hack shattered all Glen's illusions.
Turning to face Glen, he asked: "That was Chadwick's cross for Blake wasn't it?"
Thankfully, at half time, he had made his way back to the sanctuary of the dressing room as another local approached me and said: "Sorry, I've been on the phone. Have Mansfield had a man sent off?"
You couldn't possibly make it up!

Edmundson will be put under the spotlight on a whole host of issues that are sure to be of interest to Clarets fans everywhere.
Our Blackburn Rovers jury recently held a similar session with their own chief executive, John Williamson.
So keep an eye out for another explosive head-to-head soon.
