FEARS are growing for the safety of a Kirkham man who suffers from a heart condition and has been missing since Thursday morning.
Alan John Jenkinson, 54, left his Ribby Road home for work at Hallmark Cars, Lea Gate at 9.45am yesterday (Thursday, January 8) but did not arrive.
A Lancashire Police spokeswoman said: "We are growing increasingly concerned as Alan hasn't been seen for more than 24 hours and it is completely out of character for him to go missing and not to contact his family.
"He suffers also from angina and he should be on medication which he doesn't have with him."
She described him as white, 5ft 11ins tall and of large build. He has brown eyes and dark brown, receding, straight hair. When last seen he was wearing a beige fleece, beige trousers and brown shoes.
She urged anyone with any information about Mr Jenkinson's whereabouts to contact Kirkham Police on 01253 604774 or the National Missing Persons Helpline on 0500 700 700.
