YET again we hear Souey saying he is puzzled by the inconsistency of his players.
Let me help him. It simply comes down to a total lack of professionalism and pride in the shirt. Where is the commitment? We seem to be dealing with players who seem to believe that performing once in every third or fourth match is quite acceptable.
This is not only disloyal to the club and Souey, it's an insult to the loyal (but now dwindling) set of fans who pay week in week out to support their team, who if they performed in the same way, at their profession, would very quickly be applying for unemployment benefit.
One also has to ask what on earth the coaches are doing, when the defence regularly look like strangers and the inability of the midfield to put two passes together beyond all reasonable expectations.
I would therefore suggest at the next training session Souey issues all the players with a personal mirror, tell each of them to look into it and ask themselves are they proud of their last performance.
Perhaps one or two professionals will emerge.
