The result of the day saw Leigh Athletic romp to a 7-1 victory over Wythenshawe Amateurs - a result which leaves the third-placed Latics three points off top spot.
Chris Simm slammed home a hat-trick, with Paul Gibbons, Steve Bevin, Carl Shepherd and Neil Sumner also netting. Jason Wright pulled one back for the Ammies.
Goals from Danny Christie and Clint McLoughlin helped mid-table Atherton Town to a 2-1 win at fourth-placed Irlam MS, for whom Nicky Irlam pulled one back.
But Breightmet United slumped to a 4-0 defeat at Stockport Georgians. Scott Walsh starting the ball rolling with the first goal, before Dave Morgan, Rick Newbould and Luke Seaton sealed matters.
In Division One, Hindsford AFC notched up a thumping 5-2 win at second-placed Old Alts.
Dave Seymour scored twice for the Tonics, with Danny Woods, Darren Briggs and Dave Fashou also netting. Dean Parkin and Glen Attuquayefio replied for the Alts, but it was nowhere near enough to stop Hindsford from celebrating one of their best results of the season.
Elsewhere, Unsworth were beaten 4-2 by Heywood St James.
