AN Accrington man who admitted a series of burglaries has been sent in custody for sentence at Preston Crown Court.
Gordon Joseph Walker, 31, of St Ledger Court, pleaded guilty at Blackburn magistrates to burglary at a house in Sandy Lane with intent to steal and burglary at Sell-It-All and theft of watches and cash worth £7,000.
He asked for burglaries at a house in Hermitage Street, Rishton, and another dwelling house burglary to be taken into consideration.
Neil White, prosecuting, said the offence in Sandy Lane resulted in a confrontation when a neighbour had gone to investigate noises coming from next-door.
The haul from Sell It All included a Rolex watch.
Sian Hall, defending, said heroin addiction was behind the burglaries.
"He seems determined to withdraw fully from heroin and that was one of the main reasons for him making full and frank admission to all these offences," said Miss Hall.
