ARE today's youngsters tougher than we used to be? They obviously believe that winter coats are for wimps.
As I welcomed the New Year wrapped in a tracksuit, socks and wellies, a duffle coat, scarf and sheepskin mittens I looked about to see clubbers out in force in three inches of snow wearing short shorts, glitter mules and crop tops -- and no doubt goose bumps as well. And that was just the lads!
I've also noticed pupils coming out of school wearing just a white shirt over a t-shirt.
No matter how cold the weather they're out dressed for summer on the Costas. Are they mad?
Can you hear the ghosts of grandma's past saying they'll pay for their silliness one day? I can.
