AN evening of music, magic and drama was enjoyed by guests at a fundraising dinner in Nangreaves.
Professional entertainers gave up their time to entertain 85 guests at the Lord Raglan, which raised £2,500 for Hurdles, a Bury-based support group for families of children with special needs. A Real Madrid shirt signed by David Beckham was auctioned during the evening.
Chairwoman of the group, Mrs Geraldine Green said: "We had top acts including renowned after-dinner speaker Brian Voyle-Morgan who was the MC, members of Opera North and Master Magician Keith Moran as well as others."
The money will go towards sending about 100 families to DisneyLand Paris.
"We started fundraising in August of last year and have so far raised £14,500 a tremendous amount towards the £20,000 cost."
