A MUSIC store in Bury town centre will close it doors for the final time tomorrow (Saturday) as the company goes into administration.
Staff at Our Price, in the Mill Gate shopping centre, were told only last Friday that the store would be closing down and they would be losing their jobs. The two full time staff and three part time will all be made redundant.
Leslie Schofield, manager of the Bury store, said: "It was such a shock. The store has been doing really well. It's not as if we had no customers and we were doing badly.
"The store is just going to be stripped of the stock and left empty. We are all really upset about it."
In only September last year, the Our Price chain was sold by Australian company, Sanity, to a company called Primemist.
Earlier this month, the administrators were in negotiations with a number of parties, who were either looking at the business or the leasehold properties. But with no buyer, 31 of the 106 stores will now close
Stock from the Bury store will be transferred to other branches across the North West, which are to shut later in the month.
Some 160 members of staff will be affected by the closures across the UK this week but the administrators currently have no plans to close any of the remaining 75 stores.
