ACROSS East Lancashire farmers, market men and allotment holders were counting the cost of the gale which sent trees crashing in the night.
But brave Blackburn steeplejack Bob Nuttall, of Radcliffe Street, made an inspection at the top of a 100ft chimney at Bolton Hospital which was swaying in the wind.
