Forget the lush green scenery, for a change its the harsh background of a prison that sets this latest Bollywood film apart.
After impressing in Bhoot and Pinjar, Urmila takes on another challenging role as a woman thrown into jail for a crime she didn't commit. Whilst there, her only hope of ever getting out is the support of Karan (Saif Ali Khan), the new found love interest in her life. He is a brash high roller with money to burn but can he be trusted?
The two meet earlier in the movie and the love story is turned on its head when Sarika (Urmila) is charged with a crime and refused bail. She soon finds out that a woman's prison is no place for a soft spoken, happy go lucky girl and if you haven't got your wits about you, the chances of survival are slim. A personality transformation is therefore the order of the day made all the more necessary due to the kind of inmates she comes across.
The battle between Urmila's chracter and that of the tough talking female officer is definitely the highlight of this film.
Ram Gopal Varma joins forces with 20th Century Fox to bring you this one and there are high hopes for it.
