THE Freemasons Lodge of Triumph in St Annes has donated more than £2000 to local charities after an 'excellent year of fund-raising', lodge spokesman John Topping said.
Among those to benefit was Bay Housing Association, a charity which provides supported housing, counselling and support services for 16-25-year-olds, which received £400 worth of gifts including blankets and bedside lights on Friday.
Mr Topping, almoner of The Lodge of Triumph, said: "As Freemasons we are always looking to be inclusive and support those members of our community who struggle to raise funds from centrally held sources. Some of these needy groups work with the most disadvantaged members of our society and require our help.
"We will be giving just over £2000 in total of Fylde charities this year. It's been an excellent year of fund-raising under the direction of Master of The Lodge, Chris Gilroy."
