SPIDERS in school dinners, loo roll everywhere, children, mayhem -- it must be Classwars!
Year six youngsters from Layton and Anchorsholme schools in Blackpool have been battling it out this week to go forward in the madcap competition, featured on CBBC Channel's early morning TV show, XChange.
Around 30 pupils from the Lynwood Avenue and Eastpines Drive junior schools have been filmed taking on such crazy capers as wrapping each other in loo roll against the clock and hunting for creepy crawlies in school dinners, by sticking their faces in! Even school staff have been taking part in a special teachers' limbo challenge.
The school that eventually triumphs in Classwars nationally will win a huge XChange party at their school including a gig by guest popstars. Classmates will be able to watch their friends' antics when Blackpool Classwars is screened the week starting Feb 2 during the 7.30am show.
A Classwars spokeswoman said: "The kids have been fantastic. They've been such good fun and quite attitudey. They've really enjoyed it."
