LEIGH East U12s marched into the next round of the NW Counties Cup with a 34-6 win over Chorley Panthers.
East scored inside a minute when Johnny Lythgoe scooted in at the corner. Ten minutes later top tackler Ryan O'Toole touched down under the posts to leave Sam Grainey an easy conversion.
Try number three came just three minutes later when man of the match Steven Keegan took a short pass from the hooker Marcus Littlewood to crash over from close range. Just on the stroke of half time Sam Grainey scored a try of his own which he also converted.
The second half turned a little scrappy as both sides made numerous handling errors and discipline slipped. Chorley did pull back two tries, these split by Lythgoe's.
Top Tackler: R O'Toole. Man Of The Match: Steven Keegan.
