I agree with the notion that there is less and less middle ground within the community (G Farooq December Issue). However, I think that culture and religion are being percieved as one by some people.
The negative points in culture are then blown out of proportion. This has bad affects on community relations and we should highlight our positive sides to our culture.
To some people our cultural issues are seen to be religious therefore leading to a less understanding about Islam.
