YET another dog attack has taken place on a young child. Why are dogs allowed to bite people?

These wolf descendants should be both licensed and insured.

It is bad enough that they foul our streets and parks. Their faeces can cause blindness to anyone who may come into contact with it. Whether they belong to a beggar in the street or a royal, all dogs remain unpredictable in their behaviour.

To reduce the number of dogs and subsequent attacks all dogs should be licensed, one licence per dog. £100 per dog sounds reasonable to me. All dogs should be kept on a leash in our parks. I do not know which is the most unsightly the dog dirt or the plastic bags of dog dirt.

Third party insurance should be compulsory to provide compensation for anyone who is unfortunate enough to be attacked by one of these so-called pets. People are maimed and die at the teeth of 'man's best friend.'

It would be a real pleasure to walk in a park where dogs have not been and where one is not intimidated by them. It simply is not good enough getting the glib comment from dogkeepers, "Oh it won't bother you." Unfortunately it does!
