VODKA, whisky, lager and alcopops were seized from teenagers in a youth nuisance crackdown in Nelson.
Police confiscated the alcohol from three 15-year-olds on Heights Road last Friday evening as part of a crackdown on underage drinking and youth nuisance.
The officers also issued youth referral forms and spoke to parents and teachers of the youngsters involved.
Sgt Simon Peyton said: "The nuisance patrols, carried out jointly by both regular and special constables, were launched in response to concerns by local residents about youth nuisance and underage drinking.
"They involve regular high-visibility patrols being carried out in hotspot locations at key times and the issuing of youth referral forms and confiscation of alcohol as appropriate.
"Feedback from local residents has been very positive and I hope this latest action will further demonstrate our commitment to tackling youth nuisance in the Nelson area."
