WEEKEND Metrolink services were disrupted when half the company's 160 drivers staged a second 24-hour stoppage.
The dispute is over an ongoing trade union row. ASLEF is claiming recognition from Serco Metrolink. However, due to a single union agreement, put in place with the backing of the TUC, the TGWU currently has exclusive negotiating rights for all Metrolink staff.
The TUC has now taken the matter to arbitration.
