THE JANUARY meeting of Cliviger Parish Council was postponed from Friday, January 16, and will now be held tonight, starting at 7pm, at the Village Hall.
Included in matters to be dealt with is a planning application for a single-storey extension to the rear of the garage at 95 Red Lees Road.
THE SECTION of lights on the A646 from the junction with Bacup Road, which had not been working for some time, has now been repaired. A new cable has been laid by Lancashire County Council.
LETTERS of support for the Parish Action Plan have been received from Peter Pike MP and from Dr Gillian Taylor, chief executive of Burnley Borough Council.
MOUNT Zion Church is organising a monthly club for 11 to 16-year-olds, starting next month.
At 8pm on Friday, January 23, there will be an open evening for interested young people and their parents, and the following Friday the launch party will take place.

A LETTER has been received from the Archdeacon of Blackburn giving reassurance to parishioners that there are no immediate plans to close St John's Church.
