BURNLEY Scouts will join more than 20,000 Scouts and Guides from across Europe next year when they take part in EuroJam Jamboree.
The 12-day event is at Hylands Park, in Essex, next summer and will be packed full of activities.
Howard Mitchell, district commissioner for Burnley Scouts, said their preparations would start at a special meeting of leaders on Thursday, January 29, at St Cuthbert's Community Centre, from 7.30pm.
He said: "The unique feature of EuroJam 2005 is that it is available to all Scouts.
"Although there will be capacity for 40,000 at the 21st World Scout Jamboree in 2007, participation will be by selection so EuroJam is an opportunity not to be missed."
