JOHN Binks from Pendleside Hospice will be attending the 11am service at St. John's
on Sunday to talk about the work of the Hospice, he will also collect the money raised for the Hospice by parishioners at the Christmas Appeal.
THE Men's Group got off to a flying start when almost 30 members and guests travelled by classic rally across Europe in the safe hands of John Hartley. The next meeting is on Tuesday February 10 in the Thursby Rooms in the church starting at 8pm, when Alan Godfrey will tell of the time he was kidnapped by Aliens in Todmorden.
PLANNING applications have been received for a proposed two-storey dwelling with integral garage to the rear of 4 Daisy Bank Crescent and also the proposed erection of a bungalow to rear of 2 Daisy Bank Crescent. The Parish Council has objected strongly to both applications as they feel the access on to Brownside Road would create dangerous conditions for drivers.
