TWO goals from Ben Obong helped Atherton LR beat Glossop 3-0 and end a run of five successive defeats.
Obong had a first-half penalty saved by goalkeeper Williams after Yates had conceded the spot kick with a clumsy challenge.
But the former Prescot Cables striker made up for his miss three minutes later when he latched on to a goalkeeper's clearance and fired in the opening goal.
LR went two clear 12 minutes into the second half, when Gareth Strange found the net.
Obong secured the three points with a successful penalty a quarter of an hour from the end after goalkeeper Williams had brought him down.
