RAMSONS Restaurant provides quality food at good prices -- and that's official.
The Ramsbottom restaurant has been awarded a Bib Gourmet for Excellence for good food at moderate prices in the 2004 Michelin Great Britain Guide. The guide lists 5,500 restaurants nationwide but only 100 are given awards.
Although the Market Place eatery has notched up a number of awards, the latest, according, to restaurateur Mr Chris Johnson, is one of the most coveted.
"Michelin awards are much sought after and are completely independent. I have no idea when the restaurant was visited. There was no hint that anybody from Michelin was here."
Mr Johnson added: "Our chef, Abdulla Naseem, who has earned us this award, is obviously delighted."
