A REFORMED drug addict who reverted to her old ways was jailed for 90 days.
Blackburn magistrates heard that single parent Lisa Hennerley had managed to keep out of trouble for nearly two years, during which time she had her baby and spent nine months in a residential rehabilitation unit.
And Kevin Preston, defending, said the latest offences were a relapse rather than a permanent return to drugs and criminality.
"She has not given up on herself," said Mr Preston.
"She still hopes she can sort herself out and I would say that rather than a prison sentence, she needs help and assistance."
Hennerley, 27, of Whalley Banks, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to three offences of shoplifting, failing to surrender to bail and failing to comply with a community rehabilitation order.
She was sentenced to a total of 90 days in prison.
Mr Preston said that at the height of her drug addiction Hennerley had been a repeat offender on a regular basis and in one year alone she received three custodial sentences.
