ON Sunday Parkers was the venue for the Bury Societysecond Winter League match, both sides of the lodge being pegged.
Once again, overnight frost and foggy conditions took time to lift and left a thin layer of ice.
Top winger fell to Harry Billing (5-13-0), with Dave Jowett (4-7-8) in second place. Dave Waggler (3-9-0) and Graham Smith (3-5-8) were third and fourth respectively.
Also on Sunday, the Hebden Bridge AS Golden Peg was fished on the Rochdale Canal by 62 anglers.
Dave Shaw (Drinnan NW), fishing at peg 147 at Mayroyd, pulled in all roach for top weight 6-14-8. Teammate Jonathan Jowett fishing peg 228 at White Lion had both roach and perch for 5-3-0 to finish second.
In the Bradshaw Hall Fisheries Open on Saturday, Harry Billing had top weight 7-7-0. Steve Mellor (Fishermans Way) 4-14-0 was second and S Hall (Gilders Tackle) was third.
In the Octoplus Blackburn Winter League second round, held at Blackburn on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, Paul Lahey (Tri-Cast Rochdale Blue) had top weight with 6-15-14 ahead of Paul Robinson (Springview Gold) 6-3-0 and D. Connell (Ted Carter Southport) 5-6-10.
Six anglers fished the Tuesday Knock-up on Clarence Lido which had been topped up with excess water that had dropped on Sunday.
Dave Waggler pulled in the catch of the day at 6-3-0. John Asman (4-4-0) was runner-up with two quality perch plus roach.
The Tuesday series, run by Stefan Gent, will continue with the draw at 10am.

THE AGM of the club takes place at the Waterloo Hotel, Manchester Road, Bury, on Monday February, 9 at 8.30pm.
This will also include the annual prize presentation.
Next club trip will be held on February 21, a five hour trip out of Rhyl.

JANUARY'S monthly meeting of the club will be held at Elton Liberal Club this Monday (January 26) at 7.30pm.
The third match in the Winter League series takes place on Island Lodge on Sunday February 1, draw 9am, fishing from 10am to 3pm.
