RAMSBOTTOM A went back to the top of Division One as a result of this week's matches.
Whilst they were beating Location 9-1, second placed Little Lever were beating third placed Cricketers 7-3 but by dropping those three points Ramsbottom A moved into pole position and they have a match in hand on their rivals,.
The other two Ramsbottom teams in the Top Division had mixed fortunes. The C team beat Seedfield Meths A 6-4 thanks to a treble from Clive Strettle whilst the B team went down by 8-2 to Mosses A for whom Paul Cicchelli and Ben Armstrong were both unbeaten.
The teams at the top of Division have yet to find their form of before Christmas.
St Philips A increased their lead at the top with a fine 9-1 victory over their own B team, but second placed Ramsbottom D could only manage a 6-4 victory over Prestwich A, thanks to three wins from Derek Buckley.
Carlton Club B, surprisingly, went down by the same 6-4 scoreline to Maccabi A thanks to Jeff Ingber's three wins for Maccabi.
ELPM A continue to struggle down at the bottom of the table, going down 8-2 to Prestwich B whilst the Prestwich C team were on the wrong end of a 7-3 scoreline against Adelphi, Tom Ryan being the Adelphi player to remain unbeaten.
Hamer continued to pull ahead at the top of Division three with a 9-1 victory over BGSOB A this week whilst 2nd placed Seedfield Meths B, although they won, dropped four points against Red Hall.
Elton Vale A beat Claybank 6-4 thanks to three wins from David Hall who retains his place at the top of the individual table whilst the Elton Vale B team went down 9-1 to Prestwich D.
Every point is vital at the top of Division Four so whilst the two top teams both won YMCA B dropped two points whilst Maccabi C only dropped one and consequently increased their lead at the top of the table. All the other matches in Division Four this week ended in 8-2 victories.
ELPM B beat Maccabi D, Holmar A beat Seedfield D and BGSOB B beat their own C team.
Results in Division Five were even more emphatic with three of the four matches ending in 20-3 victories.
The two teams at the top had little difficulty in beating their opposition by the maximum scoreline whilst Seedfield E moved into fourth place after winning against Holmar C without dropping a point.
Third placed BGSOB D only dropped two points against ELPM D.

The semi finals of all Cup Competitions are due to take place during the week commencing February 23, and in order to be eligible to play in these matches a player should have played at least five matches for their Club before February 1.
Entries can now be taken for the end of season tournament. Entry is free -- just fill in the form in the handbook and send it to the Tournament Secretary.
Any team with a match due to be played on Good Friday, April 9, who wish to bring it forward should agree a date with the opposing team and notify the Match Secretary at least seven days prior to the arranged date. Please note that re-arrangements can only be brought forward as this is the last week of the season.
