LETTERS and complaints about off-road bikers generally come from those people with little to do with their lives except moan. I totally agree that bikes and parks do not mix, but you find the only trouble-causers are not off-roaders, but adolescents and truants.

Parents of these kids should be prosecuted and fined to stop the real people who act responsibly with off-road motorcycles from suffering.

Land is available for people to take their dogs to foul and mess, footballers to practice, many sports and field events to take place, but there are NO areas for talented youngsters to ride their moto cross/trial bikes. If the council made small amounts of wasteland available to be used at specific times by serious riders it would create yet another means of revenue -- and make a lot of old moaners happy.
