A NEW forum for businesswomen has got off to a flying start.
The first meeting of she.RV, held at the Kingfisher Centre in Rawtenstall, attracted women from all over the area.
Catherine Peel, organiser, said: "We were delighted with the positive response from the initial get-together.
"Now we are looking to grow from here to provide a worthwhile network for women both in business and those who are thinking about starting up on their own."
She.RV is holding its second event on Thursday, again at the Kingfisher Centre, and is planning a social event for February.
Paula Heap, who also help set up the group, said: "We received plenty of feedback from our opening night which we intend to act upon.
"In the future we have plans to set up a mentoring scheme where new business starters can turn to a more experienced counterpart for help and advice.
"We will also be rotating the venue from Rawtenstall to others throughout the area."
Anyone who would like to know more about she.RV should contact Catherine or Paula via Kingfisher on 01706 606000.
