NELSON will continue to fly the North West Counties League flag tonight when they host Morecambe in the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy tonight.
The Blues are the only club from the NWCL left in the competition, which is now at the quarter-final stage.
Nelson chairman Alan Pickering said: "Everybody else is from the UniBond League or the Conference, and we couldn't get much better than Morecambe.
"I would rather have them coming here because they should bring a lot of fans with them as it's the only trophy they can win now.
"I just want our lads to have a go and show what they are capable of."
Nelson's young squad are under the guidance of new manager Mick Molloy, who was previously assistant to Dave Hall.
Hall resigned from the manager's position, which he held since the back end of last season, two weeks ago.
Pickering added: "Dave felt he had taken us as far he could. He put everything into it and was professional.
"Mick deserves his chance because he's seen every game and trained with all the lads so he can make the step up now and carry on."
