PAUL Horridge is set to return between the sticks for Ramsbottom United when they host Atherton LR tonight.
Graham Bennett was drafted in as emergency cover on Saturday and starred in United's 2-1 win over Great Harwood Town in the League Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
The Bamber Bridge goalkeeper was given permission to play by the league despite not being signed within the required seven days, because Horridge and fellow stopper Steve Lyons were both cup-tied.
The victory over their Division Two neighbours has given manager Vince Overson a welcome boost ahead of tonight's return to league action.
He said: "All I want to do is win games, cup or league, because it makes the players more confident and the dressing room happier.
"The cup is nice for the players because they can enjoy it and there's less pressure but I'd like to start picking up points in the league."
DARWEN are also in action tonight as they entertain Cheadle Town in the NWCL Second Division.
Meanwhile, GREAT HARWOOD thrashed Castleton Gabriels 6-2. Pete Smith grabbed four goals while Paul Mashiter, who opened the scoring, hit two.
