ALMOST 400 jobs were to be lost in East Lancashire if the county council pressed ahead with plans for £32 million budget cuts, it was feared.
Finance committee chairman John West blamed the government for the way it had funded the county.
Snow and ice brought fresh havoc to the roads across East Lancashire.
