TWO Accrington Stanley players have been selected to represent the England National Game XI.
Captain Peter Cavanagh and goalkeeper Jon Kennedy will be in the squad to face Italy at Telford's New Bucks Head Stadium on Wednesday February 11 (kick-off 7.45pm).
Full back Cavanagh became the first modern day Stanley player to be picked for international duty when he played in England's 2-2 draw with Belgium U20s in November last year.
Meanwhile, last night's Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy quarter final match at Bamber Bridge was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The quarter final clash between Chorley and Leigh RMI at Victory Park was also postponed.
Both games have been re-scheduled for next Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
