I STRONGLY agree with the comments made in your report. I myself go to Church Street, Blackburn, to meet my friends.
I understand that people may feel intimidated by our presence, but me and my friends haven't done anything wrong.
The 'townies' all claim to hate us and one Saturday there was a gang of them (about two to every one of us) wanting to beat us up on the pretext that we'd been calling them names. We didn't want trouble so we had no choice to move into the shopping centre, in a large group.
At my age it is very difficult to find a social place where I can meet my friends and just talk.
Our behaviour is described as anti-social, but we go to Church Street to simply talk and stay safe. The gangs of thugs spoiling for a fight are the anti-social ones.
I believe the report on January 20 is very biased.
