TEENAGE troublemakers who are causing upset in a corner of Morecambe are being warned against inflicting further misery on residents.
Local bobbies are stepping up patrols in part of the West End to nip the problems in the bud.
The action follows a series of incidents in recent weeks, including under-age drinking.
On one occasion, youths damaged a freshly pebble-dashed garden wall on Acre Moss Lane - and then went back to do more harm.
West End community beat manager PC Carl Wood says the group responsible - which has been growing in size - consists largely of boys aged 13 to 18. Their escapades have centred around Acre Moss Lane, Wood Hill Lane and High Grove Close.
He intends to 'target' the area and stop anyone causing trouble.
"I don't think half the time the parents have any idea what their kids are doing, which is a part of the problem," he adds.
To report problems, contact PC Wood on 01524-596515 or visit his weekly surgery at the Community Shop, Yorkshire Street, any Wednesday afternoon.
