LANCASHIRE County Council is trying to make travel in the Ribble Valley cheaper by introducing a cut-price Day Ranger ticket.
They have been available for some time but from January 25 they can be bought for half-price by holders of concessionary passes.
For just £1.75, elderly and disabled people can use almost all bus routes and travel as far as Settle, Beacon Fell, Preston, Burnley, Accrington and Blackburn.
Coun Jean Yates, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "The Day Ranger scheme is a big success already and will be even more useful now the price has been cut in half.
"Ribble Valley is a vast area so £1.75 is an incredible bargain."
Tickets can be bought from the driver on the day of travel and participating operators include Bowland Transit, Blackburn Transport, Burnley and Pendle Travel, Darwen Coach Services, Ribble Valley Coaches, Northern Blue Buses, Lancashire United and Stagecoach. Adult passengers, who do not have a concessionary pass, pay £3.50, children £1.75 and group passes are £7.
