HINDSFORD reached the semi-final of the Murray Shield after a penalty shoot-out at Milton on Saturday.
Hindsford started well and had more of the game but good football was difficult on a poor playing surface. Darren Briggs was unlucky when he cut inside from the left and hit the post with a good effort and then Neil Critchley had a powerful shot well saved by the keeper.
The second half remained close but Milton seemed to have won it when John O'Hara re-acted first to a flick-on with only five minutes left but Hindsford responded almost immediately when Critchley scored from close in following a fine run and cross from Ryan Willett.
Hindsford won the penalty shoot out 2-1 with goals from Ryan Willett and Des Morris while Barry Edge made three excellent saves.
The second team drew in a good game at home against second placed Old Standians with another goal from Man of the Match Dan Toone whose goal made it four in the last three games.
