WITH the top three teams out of action, Rope and Anchor moved into fourth place in the Leigh and District League with a 4-1 home win over Atherton Royal.
Goals from McPike, Tipping, Jackson and Helme gave Rope their victory. Barrington scored a consolation goal for the Royal.
New Inn Rangers lost ground after a 1-0 home defeat by Howe Bridge Mills Reserves whose goal was scored by Joqasbau. In the day's only other game, AFC Tyldesley had a 5-1 win at Three Crowns Reserves with goals from Renshaw (3) Cooper and an own goal. Powell replied for Three Crowns.
